Grithm / Save Instagram Reels as notes

Save Instagram Reels as notes

Your Saved folder is full of Reels you meant to come back to. Share a Reel to Grithm instead and get a note with the key points and a link back to the creator.

Coming soon to iPhone. We’ll only email you about the launch.

How it works

  1. On the Reel, tap Share (the paper plane).
  2. Scroll the row at the bottom and pick Grithm. You may need to tap More the first time.
  3. Grithm transcribes the Reel and writes the note. Keep scrolling.

What you get

A title, a short summary, the main points as bullets and a link back to the Reel and its creator. Grithm transcribes the Reel’s audio and writes the note from what was said, so a recipe’s steps or a workout’s sets come out as a list you can follow.

Because every Reel is transcribed first, a note can take a short while. It arrives in your library when it’s ready.

Why not just use Saved?

Instagram’s Saved folder keeps the post, not what was in it, and you can’t search it by what someone said. A Grithm note is searchable text that stays yours, even if the original Reel is deleted later.

Photo posts and carousels

For image posts, Grithm reads the first image. Instagram only shows the other slides of a carousel to logged-in apps, so for the rest, screenshot the slides and make a photo note: Grithm reads the text in screenshots too.

Questions

Does the creator get credit?

Yes. Every note keeps a link back to the original Reel.

What happens if the Reel is deleted?

Your note stays in Grithm. You keep the summary and your own notes even if the original post disappears.

Can I add my own notes?

Yes. Your own notes sit in a separate, clearly marked part, and the AI never overwrites them.
