Waitlist privacy notice
Who is responsible
Grithm is made by Will Ingham, who is the data controller for the waitlist. Contact: hello@grithm.com.
What we collect
- Your email address.
- Which link or site brought you here, for example a social media post.
- The date and time you signed up.
- If you choose to answer it, what you’ll use Grithm for.
Like any website, our host also keeps technical logs (such as IP addresses) to run and protect the site, and counts visits from those logs so we can see how many people visit and which sites sent them. We only see totals, never who you are. This site sets no cookies and uses no tracking or advertising tools.
Why, and on what basis
We use your email only to tell you when Grithm launches. We’ll only email you about the launch. We rely on your consent, which you give by joining the waitlist. You can withdraw it at any time.
Where it is kept
Your details are stored with two service providers who handle them for us:
- Netlify, which hosts this website and receives the form.
- Google (Google Sheets), where we keep the waitlist.
Both may store data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where they do, they use legal safeguards approved for UK data transfers.
How long we keep it
Until we’ve sent the launch email, and no longer than 12 months after Grithm launches. After that we delete it, unless you’ve chosen to stay in touch.
What we don’t do
We never sell your email or share it with anyone for their marketing.
Your rights
You can ask to see the data we hold about you, correct it, or have it deleted, at any time. Email hello@grithm.com and we’ll act on it within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
